Creating stability for those in need
“I get so much satisfaction from a career that makes a difference in others’ lives. It’s hearing the stories of our residents that makes me proud to come to work each day!”
Art came to MidPen in 2013 with over 30 years of experience in finance and operations for world-class public, private and non-profit companies. As Chief Financial Officer, he oversees the 50+ members of MidPen’s finance, accounting, asset management and legal teams and has overall responsibility to steward the company’s nearly $1.5 billion of real estate assets.
As a recipient of the San Francisco Business Times “CFO of the Year Award”, Art is widely recognized as both an astute enterprise executive and a personable leader who brings a sense of warmth and humor to the teams he manages. He’s on the board of directors for the Housing Trust of Silicon Valley and Larkin Street Youth Services. When not reviewing spreadsheets or crunching numbers, you’ll likely find Art enjoying time with his wife of 40+ years or doting on his beloved granddaughter.
FUN FACT: Last year Art won a convertible Aston Martin personally selected by Daniel Craig (with taxes paid!). He’s since graciously extended “joy rides” to many of his MidPen colleagues and 007 fans!
