Communicating for social change

“I believe in the power of storytelling to stir hearts, ignite movements and ultimately change the world. I’m grateful each and every day for the privilege of being able to help tell the inspiring stories of the residents MidPen serves.”

Beth oversees MidPen’s corporate (external) and employee (internal) communications activities including branding, press relations, social media, the website and intranet, special events and print collateral. She joined MidPen in 2010 after spending much of her 20+ year career in the high-tech sector managing marketing programs and teams both in the United States and abroad – starting at Apple, ending at Adobe, and at several posts in-between.

Driven by a personal passion, Beth also spearheads MidPen’s initiatives to house children and youth who’ve experienced foster care — including a partnership with the Treehouse Foundation to bring the award-winning intergenerational Treehouse community to California. On the weekends you’ll likely find Beth hiking to the top of one the Bay Area’s peaks with her rescue pup and enjoying time with cherished family and friends, usually over a good meal!

FUN FACT: Known for being a bit of a “rah rah,” Beth once ran a half marathon in her high school cheer leading skirt (well past her high school days and yes, there’s a story here, feel free to ask her!) The other marathons and half marathons she’s run were done so in more fitting attire…
