Terry joined MidPen’s Board in 1991 and has held various leadership roles during her tenure. With more than 30 years of experience in the real estate finance realm, Terry has vast knowledge in the areas of affordable housing development, asset management and troubled assets for developers, owners, lenders and government entities. She also joint ventures with local developers to develop multifamily rental communities.
She is the President of Terry Freeman & Associates, LLC, a firm that specializes in structuring the financing of affordable and mixed income multifamily rental projects; construction and permanent debt; equity; public subsidies/assistance, and the development of senior retirement communities and apartment communities with an affordable component. Terry is very active in the real estate community and is a frequent speaker at industry conferences. She has also authored articles on affordable housing finance for multiple publications, including Multifamily Executive, Affordable Housing Finance and Novogradac & Company’s Housing Bond Report.
