Wilma Wilson

Director of Compliance and Operations Support
“I am a firm believer that decent, affordable, safe and sanitary housing is a human right. Being part of the MidPen team – – which works tirelessly to develop, preserve, apply for funding sources – – to build more affordable housing, is humbling and rewarding.”

Wilma’s role is fundamental to the organization, ensuring compliance with regulatory and program requirements of all housing regulatory agencies at the federal, state, county and city levels, as well as third-party stakeholders in MidPen’s property management portfolio. She is integral in developing and monitoring policies and procedures and mitigating risks resulting from non-compliance. She joined MidPen in 2019.

Wilma is truly a human-centric leader and thrives on empowering her team members. A lifelong advocate for social and racial justice and equity, she is also a proud member of the Collective Voices for Equity Council.

When she’s not working or canvassing for political change, you can find Wilma wine tasting, gardening, cooking, or hiking … in fact, she hiked to the summit of Mount Lassen in 2018!
