MidPen Housing Corporation, one of the nation’s leading non-profit affordable housing developers and owners, has appointed Marvin Williams as Vice President of Property Management. Since its foundation in 1970, MidPen has developed over 8,000 affordable rental homes for residents across 11 Northern California counties. Through its affiliated company, MidPen Property Management Corporation, MidPen professionally manages over 100 housing communities.
As the executive in charge of MidPen Property Management Corporation, Mr. Williams will report to MidPen’s Chief Operating Officer and is responsible for the physical integrity, safety, compliance, occupancy levels, and resident satisfaction for MidPen’s housing portfolio of over 7,200 units. Mr. Williams will lead an organization of more than 250 employees and oversee all aspects of property operations including lease-ups, training, facility maintenance, and ensuring each property’s financial performance.

With nearly 20 years of experience, Mr. Williams comes to MidPen most recently from Progress Residential in Arizona where, as National Director of Property Operations, he successfully directed the operations for a portfolio of 23,000 homes across fourteen states. Prior to Progress, Mr. Williams was Director of Property Management for WINN Residential Military Housing Services in Boston where a property in his portfolio was recognized by the National Apartment Association with the “Best Community, Specialty Housing for Military” award in 2015.
Mr. Williams received a Masters of Science in Human Resource Management from Tarleton State University and a Bachelors in Social Work from Baylor University, both located in Texas. He holds seven professional certifications including Certified Apartment Property Supervisor (CAPS), the Certified Defense Privatization Manager (CDPM), and the Certified Manager of Maintenance (CMM). Prior to his entry into Property Management, Marvin spent 9 years in the United States Army and the National Guard.
