Senior Vice President, Equity and Inclusion
“Safe and stable housing is foundational to all other aspects of wellness and wellbeing. I’m grateful that I get to work with this committed team on such challenging and complex issues that are so critical.”

Jennifer joined MidPen in April of 2022 as the company’s first-ever Senior Vice President of Equity and Inclusion. She will be working closely with MidPen’s Collective Voices for Equity Council, Leadership Team, and Board of Directors to further the long-term vision for more fully living MidPen’s guiding principles of diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging, both within the company and in our communities.

Jennifer’s dedication to DEIB –and housing justice –is engrained in her career path, and counts as one of her greatest passions, along with inspiring others to embrace their own journeys of authenticity. She brings more than 10 years of DEIB leadership, both in the health care (Mayo Clinic, Henry Ford Health System) and non-profit (United Way) sectors, with empathy, collaboration, partnerships, and relationship-building as the driving forces of her leadership style. A native Metro-Detroit, Jennifer is a strong proponent of volunteerism and mentoring youth from marginalized communities. She also serves as an Adjunct Assistant Professor in University of Cincinnati’s Political Science Department. She recently completed the semester with the vast majority of her students completing all course work with passing grades and she received excellent feedback in her post-course evaluation.

Outside of work, Jennifer is an avid traveler. So far, she’s visited over 50 countries and six continents.
