Polo Munoz

Director of Housing Development
“Reflecting on my youth, I can relate to the struggles and financial insecurities hardworking families face, and I’m honored that my work at MidPen provides me with the opportunity to bring stability into thousands of residents’ lives.”

Polo Munoz joined MidPen in 2010 as a development project manager and throughout his tenure, worked on several development projects that have become some of MidPen’s most awarded and nationally-recognized communities. In his role as Director of Development, Polo oversees all aspects of new project development and guides his teams through the process, including land acquisition, design, construction and resident occupancy.

Most recently, Polo completed construction and perm loan conversion of Paseo Estero and Vista Estero at Brooklyn Basin, totaling 211 affordable homes for families and seniors, and cultivated business relationships that allowed MidPen to build its first communities in the City of Oakland. As a member of the Leadership Team, Polo is most excited about imparting knowledge about best practices and lessons learned to his colleagues and junior staff.

When he’s not hard at work, Polo embarks on his new kayaking hobby – someday you may catch him paddling around the waterfront at Brooklyn Basin!
