Serena joined MidPen in 2015 as a Project Administrator supporting project managers on the new construction development of projects in San Mateo, Santa Clara, and Alameda counties. Since then, Serena has worked on the new construction or rehabilitation of over 600 affordable homes for families, farmworkers, seniors, veterans, and formerly homeless households. In her current role she continues to lead on projects in various stages of development as well as mentor team members who, like her, are getting their start in affordable housing development with MidPen.
Prior to joining MidPen, Serena worked on affordable housing advocacy and policy at the Housing Leadership Council (HLC) and HEART of San Mateo County. Her passion for affordable housing stems from growing up, working in, and now raising her family in San Mateo County.
In her free time, Serena enjoys spending time with her husband and young children, particularly on rollercoasters or at the beach.
