FOSTER CITY, CA, April 17, 2024—MidPen Housing announced it has promoted Ann Goggins Gregory to Chief Operating Officer. MidPen is one of the most trusted nonprofit developers, owners, and managers of high-quality affordable housing in Northern California.
With a COO grouping that spans Property Management, Resident Services, and Data Analytics, Ann’s responsibilities also include an explicit focus on strategic planning and supporting large-scale initiatives across the organization. She first joined MidPen in August 2019 as Senior Vice President of MidPen Services, a MidPen affiliate that provides onsite services to support advancement of nearly 22,000 residents in the areas of education, health, and economic mobility. Prior to MidPen, Ann served as a senior advisor to Habitat for Humanity International, strengthening the organization’s support model to over 1,300 US affiliates. Earlier, she was Habitat Greater San Francisco’s first Chief Operating Officer where she oversaw all operations and spearheaded the organization’s strategic direction.
Brenda Castillo-Garza, Vice President of Resident Services, will step up as Interim Head of Resident Services; she has been with the company since 2012 and is experienced in creating and sustaining signature programs, developing a talented team, and building strategic partnerships.
“Under Ann’s leadership, our Resident Services team enhanced MidPen’s permanent supportive housing strategy, launched a $10-million innovation fund, and partnered deeply with Property Management to provide exceptional support to residents during the extended COVID era,” said Matthew O. Franklin, MidPen Housing’s President and CEO. “I’m excited to see what Ann will bring to the COO role as we continue to drive innovation, strengthen partnerships, and deliver high-quality results to residents and communities.”
