Program Details
The Focus Card is a pre-paid debit card from Community Financial Resources (CFR) and US Bank. It helps residents receive money from paychecks, financial aid, benefits, or tax refunds directly into the card. Residents can also use it to open a savings account. MidPen uses the Focus Card to give money to residents who are in programs like Learn & Earn.Who Is Eligible
- Resident must be at least 18 years of age.
- Resident must be in good standing.
- Resident must have a Social Security Number (SSN) or Individual Tax Identification Number (ITIN).
- Resident must be enrolled in MidPen’s Learn & Earn program.

What is a pre-paid debit card? A card that allows you to make purchases and withdrawals at ATMs. You can load money onto the card and use it like a debit or credit card at any business that accepts debit cards. Are there any fees? If a card is not used for a period of 90 days the cardholder will be charged a fee of $2.This fee will be applied once for every 90-day period the card is unused. There are no other fees and no required minimum balance. Where can I use my card? Participants can use their card anywhere Visa is accepted. Where do I pull money out from? Participants are encouraged to withdraw funds from any of the 80,000+ US Bank, All-Point, or MoneyPass ATMs within their network. These in-network ATMs do not charge for withdrawals and/or balance inquiries. Withdrawing funds from an out-of-network ATM will incur fees. A detailed map of in-network ATMs around a participant’s location can be found at U.S. Bank or MoneyPass. From these websites you can log-in to your account, as well as download the mobile app (linked at the bottom of the website). Alternatively, users can get cashback from any point-of-sale purchase. When do I get my card with my name on it? Embossed cards will be delivered to the mailing address participants provided when enrolling into the Focus Card and should arrive within 10-14 business days following their enrollment. If the card does not arrive by the 14th business day, MidPen site staff should contact CFR on the participant’s behalf.If you have additional questions please fill out the GO Program Interest Form or speak with your MidPen site staff.
