MidPen Housing, one of the most trusted nonprofit developers, owners and managers of high-quality affordable housing in Northern California, has received its first Great Place to Work certification.

MidPen’s investment in employees has been demonstrated throughout the COVID-19 pandemic as cultural norms have shifted. Rooted in their ICARE values (Integrity, Collaboration, Accountability, Respect and Excellence), and guided by the principles of diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging, MidPen employees have acclimated to new and innovative ways to support each other and residents over the last year – more than 50% are frontline workers – through learning and moving forward together.
As a result of the Trust Index Survey conducted by Great Place to Work®, 88% of MidPen employees responded positively to the statement “Taking everything into account, I would say this is a great place to work.” MidPen also scored 90% in the focus area of Justice, which is reflective of the organization’s efforts in social justice in affordable housing.
