Gateway Rising comprises 140 affordable apartment homes, with a mix of one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments. It is the final phase in the redevelopment of Menlo Park’s Gateway Apartments initially developed in the 1960s. MidPen Housing redeveloped the entire site, increasing the number of apartment homes from 130 to 230, split between the senior property, Sequoia Belle Haven, and the newly redeveloped family property, Gateway Rising. Of Gateway Rising’s 140 apartment homes, 81 are filled by returning residents, seven are set-aside for households experiencing homelessness with the remaining 51 available to households earning up to 80% of the Area Median Income.
